Stimulating the Debate Among the Alumni of the Bulgarian School of Politics (2015 – 2017)

The aim of the project is to analyse the social environment based on the experts knowledge and professional experience of the alumni of the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza”. It engages the whole BSoP alumni community, consisting of over 600 people, who are professional politicians, representatives of NGOs or branch organisations, or are magistrates. These are public opinion leaders, who can directly or indirectly influence public policies and processes within social and political life.

Based on the analysis of the social environment and its deficits, three key areas will be identified as problematic for Bulgaria. These will be thoroughly studied and BSoP alumni, split into different teams, will work on the problems, will give recommendations for overcoming the shortcomings and suggest reforms into policies. The three key areas will be discussed as with the alumni, as well as with the current participants in the National Program “Governing skills”. The analysis will help further develop the BSoP’s training programs and improve the way the School works with the alumni community.

The project is implemented by the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza”, with the financial support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation and will continue for 21 months.
