Divided into two groups, the current class of the National Program “Governing Skills” of the Bulgarian School of Politics (BSoP) visited European institutions in Brussels. From September 26 to 28, twenty representatives of Class 2023 had meetings and discussions with various representatives of the European Commission (EC) at the Berlaymont building in Brussels. Angel Beremliyski from the Directorate General for Communication of the EC introduced the trainees to the communication priorities of the Commission. Tsvetelina Nacheva from the Directorate General for Climate Action gave more information to the BSoP trainees about the “European Green Deal”. Georgi Nachev from the Directorate General for Justice and consumers talked about the rule of law. The informative and educational visit also included the topics of information manipulation and the long-term budget of the European Union.
On the last day of their visit to Brussels, the current BSoP trainees were also at the NATO headquarters. After the familiarization tour of the building, they met and talked about various topics with four representatives of different departments of the organization, as well as with representatives of the Bulgarian delegation to NATO.
The information visits in Brussels for Class 2023 of the Bulgarian School of Politics are organized by the Representation of the EC in Bulgaria. The first group of twenty trainees was in the European capital from June 13 to 15.
