For a third consecutive year, trainees from the National Program of the Bulgarian School of Politics (BSoP) made an educational visit to the capital of the European institutions. At the European Commission (EC) in Brussels, Class of 2025 had the opportunity to talk to various experts. The EU’s multiannual financial framework and the distribution of funds, the fight against disinformation in the digital age, agricultural and food policies, the role of the Commission in the field of the defense industry and security, the EU’s vision for the future and the role of civic leaders were some of the topics that representatives of various EC directorates presented and discussed with the BSoP trainees.
The European Committee of the Regions was the other institution that opened its doors to political and civic leaders, participants in the School’s National Program. There, they were introduced to the structure and tasks of the Committee. the European Economic and Social Committee was also introduced to them.
The visit to Brussels for the trainees in the National Program was once again made possible thanks to the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria.
