BSoP organized a workshop on creative recycling at a Retirement Home in Plovdiv

Breathing new life into old wooden kitchen utensils was one of the activities for residents of the Retirement Home “St. Basil the Great” in the city of Plovdiv on 23.01.2024. The workshop was organized and conducted by the Bulgarian School of Politics as part of the project “Seniors in Green Action – from Hands to Minds to Souls”.

In parallel with the good mood and the sharing of culinary recipes, the activity of returning old wooden utensils to use also took place. The handy seniors quickly sanded the wooden spoons and spatulas, removed accumulated odors with a mixture of baking soda and water, and finally restored their shine by polishing them with kitchen paper soaked in olive oil.

The project “Seniors in Green Action – from Hands to Minds to Souls” is implemented by the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza” in partnership with creativity and educational studio “Artied” and organizations from Spain, Italy, Poland and North Macedonia. The project is financed by the Erasmus+ program.
