The President of the National Assembly opened a charity exhibition in support of the cause of Class 2024

“Only people who have not faced the cruelty of hearing the verdict that their child suffers from an oncohematological disease do not know how long and prolonged the treatment is. I hope that the members of the parliament will support the virtuous cause, the goal of which is for sick children not to break away from the life they had before, and to continue to live with full strength.” This was said by the President of the National Assembly, Nataliya Kiselova, at the opening of the exhibition “Art Heals the Golden Children”. The exhibition, arranged in the building of the Bulgarian Parliament, is part of the charity cause of Class 2024 of the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza”. Through the sale of the paintings, the recent graduates of the National Program of the School will support the holding of a rehabilitation camp for children with cancer. “Art Heals the Golden Children” includes nearly 40 works by students from the Department of “Pedagogy of Fine Arts and Technological Education” at the University of Shumen. Its message is that compassion and the power of art are capable of overcoming life’s difficulties.
The co-chair of “We continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria”, Acad. Nikolay Denkov, emphasized at the opening of the exhibition that thanks to science and developing technologies, three quarters of children with oncohematological diseases manage to receive adequate treatment. In his words, progress in medicine is a ray of light for those who need special care and support.
The opening of the exhibition in the National Assembly was also attended by MPs, university professors, public figures and journalists. Already before the official start of the event, many of the paintings found their owners, and Class 2024 continues to work for the realization of its cause by organizing a charity ball in April in Sofia.
