68 454 leva were raised by Class of 2024 of the National Program of the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza” (BSoP) for its cause – financing a rehabilitation camp for children with oncohematological diseases. The latest graduating class of the School decided to support the association “Children with Oncohematological Diseases” and thus continued the philanthropic tradition of its predecessors and the work of the founder of BSoP Dimi Panitza.
The charity ball on April 11 in Sofia was the largest event of the campaign to raise funds for the cause. It brought together over 140 guests, including MPs, mayors, deputy mayors, municipal councillors, public figures, former and current graduates of the BSoP. The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, expressed his support for the initiative with a special congratulatory address to the Class of 2024. Vice President Iliana Yotova, MEPs Taner Kabilov, Ivaylo Valchev and Kristian Vigenin, and business representatives expressed their sympathy for the charitable cause by supporting it financially.
The host of the elegant event was the actor Tsvetomir Ivanov, who also led the auction for the sale of donated items. Many famous personalities, including the star of Bulgarian football Stiliyan Petrov, football players from the Bulgarian national football team, football players from Levski, CSKA and Ludogorets, the mayor of Rakovski Municipality, the mayor of Dulovo Municipality, famous artists and performers provided their items for the charity auction, which was part of the evening’s program. A raffle gave all guests the opportunity to support the cause of the Class of 2024 by purchasing tickets to participate.
The talented singer, songwriter, composer and laureate of many international festivals Lazar, the young talents from the ballet studio “Terpsihora Dance Innovation”, one of the best saxophonists in Bulgaria Mike Sax and the rising band “The 6 dimensions” who participated with musical and dance performances contributed for the good mood of the guests and supported the little heroes of Bulgaria.
