The project “Educated about Education” aims to enhance students’ knowledge and engagement regarding educational policies, legislative changes, and the development of technologies in education at both national and European levels. The initiative will involve students from six different universities across Bulgaria’s six planning regions – Shumen, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Blagoevgrad, Plovdiv, and Stara Zagora. At the beginning of the project, a needs assessment will be conducted among students in each of these cities. The results will serve as the basis for developing training programs and content for the subsequent educational activities.
Within the framework of the project, educational meetings will be organized in each of the six cities. During these events, participants will have the opportunity to meet and discuss current topics with representatives of the European and Bulgarian Parliaments, as well as experts from ministries, institutions, and the academic community.
The project will be accompanied by active communication and dissemination activities to ensure transparency, visibility, and awareness among the target groups and the wider public.
Through their participation in the initiative, students will have the opportunity for personal and professional development. They will develop leadership skills, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities, while also gaining in-depth knowledge of European and national education policies. Special attention will be given to topics such as the regulation of artificial intelligence and social media, legislative changes in education, and the ethical aspects of digital technologies.
The project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission (Key Action 1 – KA 154 – Youth Participation Activities).
