In the period 12–14 June 2026, the Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza” organized a conference “Public–Private–Civil Partnership – A Model for Effective Policy Management”. The event was dedicated to the role of cooperation between business, public institutions, and the civil sector in the development and implementation of policies with sustainable public impact.
The conference was opened by Ivan Nachev, Executive Director of Bulgarian School of Politics “Dimitry Panitza”. Throughout the program, participants discussed good practices and successful partnership models, as well as opportunities for their application at local and national level. Prof. Marina Stefanova, Head of the Department of “Economics and Management by Industries” at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, presented the topic of business as a strategic partner in public policies. Kalin Kamenov, Mayor of Vratsa, shared his experience in developing public–private–civil partnerships in local governance. Angelina Boneva, economist and expert in regional development and management of European programs, highlighted European policies and funding opportunities for partnership models. Iliyana Nikolova, Executive Director of the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation, addressed the role of the civil sector as a driver of policies with public impact. A significant part of the conference was dedicated to group work, which allowed participants to exchange experience, discuss specific challenges, and develop ideas for more effective cooperation between different sectors of society.
The event confirmed the importance of partnership as a tool for better governance, sustainable development, and the creation of solutions that respond to the real needs of society.
The conference is part of the project “Capacity Building – New Opportunities for Participation and Engagement”, funded under the Technical Assistance Programme (TAP), co-financed by the European Union.
