The focus of the the panel “Long-term strategies for Bulgaria” was the topic “The Democratic Process in EU – the Opportunities for Bulgaria”. Special guest-lecturers was the member of the European Parliament Mr. Svetoslav Malinov, who is also one of the prominent political scientists in Bulgaria.
The program for the day continued with a lecture for the media environment and how media can favour the democracy. The radio journalist Mr. Kiril Valchev explained the basic rules for participation in a radio debate. Then the trainees participated in a simulation of a radio debate on the topic “How to decrease the youth unemployment”.
The executive director of Bulgarian Charities Aid Foundation Ms. Elitza Barakova was special guest-lecturer at the panel “30 minutes with…” She talked about the donations` technology and various charity initiatives. Ms. Barakova gave to the participants practical advice on how to organize fundraising activities.
