State budget, artificial intelligence and social policies were part of the topics in the third course of the National Program

Three representatives of the Budget and Finance Committee in the current National Assembly were guest lecturers in the third course of the training of Class of 2025 in the National Program. Venko Sabrutev, Snezhanka Trayanska and Hasan Ademov introduced the trainees to the mechanism for compiling the state budget and the opportunities through it to prioritize public policies.

The four training days were saturated with many more topics, training cases and meetings.

Yasen Tanev, founder of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, showed the possibilities of artificial intelligence to rewrite reality and ways in which it can be responded to. The training task after Tanev’s lecture, in addition to interest, also aroused many emotions. Divided into four groups, the trainees took on the role of communication teams, which built a strategy for neutralizing a disinformation campaign that they had previously created with artificial intelligence. Again in groups and again in specific roles, they made proposals for Bulgaria’s electricity mix and proposed measures to achieve it, after being introduced to the energy sector by the energy expert Yavor Kuyumdzhiev. Stakeholder analysis was another task in the third course of the National Program – 2025, and the technique of this type of analysis was presented by Radostina Angelova, Director of Global Metrics. To formulate messages and conduct an election campaign on behalf of different political parties was the task to practice after the lecture by Prof. Tatyana Burudzhieva on political campaigns. In the so-called modular task of the course, the trainees had to negotiate as representatives of different political formations to form a coalition government.

A special guest was the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov, with whom the trainees talked about social policies and the challenges facing the labor market in Bulgaria.

The third course of the National Program 2025 was held from July 6 to 9 at Lyon Hotel, Borovets.
